Imagine travelling through British Columbia’s rugged mountains and valleys.

Imagine riding near abandoned railway lines and old ghost towns.

Imagine experiencing all the wonder and beauty this province has to offer.

Now imagine British Columbia’s Trans Canada Trail.

Since 1998, the provincial government has been working with local trail groups to connect British Columbia to this great national trail network. Like the railway pioneers of old, volunteers and government partners are working side-by-side to connect a transportation corridor across some of the country’s most difficult and breath-taking terrain. Some portions of this trail in BC are already complete and open for use, while other areas are still under construction.

Let this Web site be your guide.

Here, you’ll find maps and information about British Columbia’s Trans Canada Trail and some trail gateway communities – towns and cities that connect the province to this trail network.

As work continues on BC’s Trans Canada Trail and portions of the trail are upgraded, more information will be added to this site.

So take your time, look around and start your journey on BC’s Trans Canada Trail.
